Happy 2012 to everyone!
It is my privilege to announce our 2012 POPS Conference Scholarship winners! Tricia Lane is a member from Halifax, Nova Scotia, working as an NP for 4 years in a busy pediatric orthopedic  practice that includes management of inpatients and a busy and varied clinic practice. She is a member of the Canadian Pediatric Spinal Deformity Study Group and chairs 3 committees in addition to patient care. Jessica Staschak is an NP at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia with 5 years experience there. She sees a wide range of outpatients in peds ortho clinic and has been building her academic resume in education, lectures to local NPs, a poster at NAPNAP, while dabbling in research as well. Congratulations to both of these winners, who will receive conference registration to POPS, the POSNA half day course, and the POSNA Scientific meeting!

The Conference Planning Committee has been busy putting together a top notch meeting, with many great educational and informative presentations, taking place Tuesday, May 15th in Denver, prior to the POSNA meeting. We are grateful to everyone who submitted quality abstracts, and we are still accepting poster presentations until March 1st! Thanks to our co-chairs Colleen Ditro and Anne Stuedemann for their great work and leadership!
