Happy Holidays to everyone from your POPS Leadership Board! It is a busy time for many of us, and also the final month to submit your 2012 POPS Meeting abstracts and scholarship applications! Our 7th Annual Conference will be held in Denver on Tuesday, May 15th, in conjunction with the annual POSNA meeting. We are hoping for the biggest and best POPS meeting ever, and our conference committee is busy planning a top-notch educational meeting geared to the advanced practice provider in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery. Our one-day course will include a variety of topics to update you on current practice, radiographic interpretation, practice innovations, and will include some interactive sessions as well as our social event. This is a fantastic opportunity to present to colleagues, collaborate and network with peers in our specialty field. Please see details on the Upcoming Conference page of our web site.

I also request that members who have not paid their dues, to please get current, in order to maintain your membership. If you are not a member, please consider joining us! Benefits of membership include access to our members-only portion of the web site which offers a free link to the POSNA Resident Review Publication, as well as a listing of current members, and reduced cost for Annual Meeting Registration fees. In addition, 2 scholarships are awarded each year, one to a member with less than 5 years of practice, and one to a member with 5 or more years of practice, which pays for your registration to POPS, the POSNA One-Day-Course, and the POSNA Scientific Meeting!! What a value!

Thanks for your ongoing commitment to the Pediatric Orthopaedic Practitioners Society.
