On behalf of the POPS Board welcome and thanks for visiting the POPS website! The Pediatric Orthopedic Practitioner Society was established in 2005 to provide and support specialized pediatric orthopedic training, continuing education, research collaboration, and to provide a forum for mentoring and networking for Pediatric Orthopedic Advance Practice Providers. POPS has continued to grow and expand its membership within the United States and Canada. POPS provides professional support for advance practice providers that had not previously existed in the field of Pediatric Orthopedics.

I am Colleen Ditro and have worked in Pediatric Orthopedics for 8 years at A.I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE. My experience and practice is primarily skeletal dysplasia, adjunct faculty at a local university and practice as a pediatric nurse practitioner in a newborn nursery. When I am not working I like to Crossfit and read.

The POPS Executive Board and Committees will continue to strive to meet the needs and expectations of its members. This year could bring exciting opportunities for POPS and all of its members as we are always expanding our organization and exploring new frontiers. Our society will continue to thrive by the support of its members so please feel free to contact me or any of the board members with any feedback or suggestions. Two of my goals for the coming year are to present a case study every other month and highlight one of our members every other month. Please send any case studies or members recommendations my way.

I challenge you to become an active part, get involved, and continue to grow with us! I thank you for the opportunity to serve as your president for the upcoming year. I am open to any suggestions you may have for our organization.

Colleen Ditro, DMP, CRNP
POPS President
